Informed Childbirth

(Weekend Class)

All the Childbirth Education you want to prepare you for labor in a weekend intensive course! These classes meet on Saturday and Sunday, and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and proven techniques needed for a successful natural childbirth. (Weeknight Series)

Our weeknight course provides you with the knowledge, skills and techniques to prepare you for a successful natural childbirth, while promoting acceptance of any outcome. Through this course you will learn proven tools to cope with labor and gain the knowledge you will need to make informed choices throughout your pregnancy and childbirth. $250 (Catonsville)

Comfort Meassures for Birth

A workshop focused entirely on comfort measures and coping techniques for couples to utilize during labor and childbirth. We will introduce and practice a wide variety of techniques, so that you can learn what works for you. It offers a way to build on and strengthen what you have already learned in your childbirth class or as a refresher course for second (or more!) time moms. $65

Baby Basics: Infant Care + Breastfeeding

The best of our Infant Care and Breastfeeding classes combined. We focus on newborn care and procedures, sleeping, communication, diapering, and dressing. Breastfeeding is covered in-depth and this portion of class will help you prepare for a comfortable start to breastfeeding. Topics include latch, position, milk production, feeding patterns, myths, avoiding common problems, and when to call for assistance. $80

New Moms Support Group

Each Tuesday morning we meet to discuss the ups and downs of parenting. Our support group focuses on moms and babies (0-6 months). Each week we check in to answer questions, share suggestions, and find answers to a variety of topics. Light breakfast snacks, coffee and tea are provided. Just grab the baby and the diaper bag and head over. $30/4 visits

Postpartum Doula Training (DONA Approved)

This three day workshop is designed to satisfy the training requirement to become a DONA certified Postpartum Doula. Taught by a seasoned and much loved postpartum doula trainer, the workshop meets for three full days in IBC's Catonsville studio. Each day a light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost also includes workshop materials. $450

Free Seminar: Breastfeeding Basics

Get a great start on the basics of breastfeeding. Topics include: getting started, frequency and duration of feedings, “signs” that baby is getting enough, common concerns, and where to find support?

Free Seminar: Comfort for Pregnancy and Labor

Come gain insight into what will keep you comfortable in pregnancy and make labor productive. From prenatal exercises to position changes for labor, you will leave this seminar with a variety of comfort measures.

Free Seminar: Infant Care

Join us as we dive into the basics of caring for your new baby. Topics include: calming baby, holding a newborn, newborn sleep patterns, and sanity savers for new parents. Join us for a fun discussion on infant care. There will be plenty of time for all of your questions.

With a private session you are in control of the content and length.   While a minimum of four hours is recommended to cover the basics, the topics covered and the format of the meeting times are up to you. Some of the most requested topics are:
